NEW YORK -- Steven Matz aims to continue an impressive roll on Tuesday, while James Loney is poised to make his New York Mets debut and Noah Syndergaard may get an inning in relief.
Matz (7-1, 2.36 ERA) will bid for a win in an eighth straight start when he opposes Chicago White Sox right-hander Mat Latos (6-1, 4.06) at 7:10 p.m. ET at Citi Field.
Since recording only five outs in his season debut, Matz is 7-0 with a 1.13 ERA in seven starts.
