Frankie Montas continued his recent struggles on the mound in the Mets 12-4 loss to the Giants. The Mets actually scored in the first inning but then Montas fell apart in the third and fourth innings to put the game out of reach.
Francisco Lindor hit his 21st home run of the year in the first inning to give the team an early 1-0 lead. However his error in the third on a stolen base opened the floodgates. Jung Hoo Lee took third on the error and scored the tying run on a single by Patrick Bailey.
