Mickey Callaway could be next to go if Mets’ losing continues

CHICAGO — Hey Mickey, you’re next.

If the Mets continue to sink in the standings, Mickey Callaway has no more sacrificial lambs between him and Doubling Down Brodie Van Wagenen.

On the day Van Wagenen surprisingly blamed the Mets organizational failures and 35-40 record on highly respected pitching coach Dave Eiland and bullpen coach Chuck Hernandez, firing both Thursday morning, he again strongly defended Callaway.

BVW’s “Come Get Us’’ Mets were beaten 7-4 by the Cubs on Thursday night at Wrigley Field, dropping five games under .500, matching their season low.
