MetsBlog Q&ACast, presented by Citi: Steve Phillips talks running Mets on 9/11

Mets manager Terry Collins took responsibility for Saturday night's 4-3 loss to the Braves.

Collins said he not realize it was time to use a pinch runner late in the game, which eventually led to a painful neck injury for Wilmer Flores, who slide headfirst on a close play at home plate in the eighth inning.

Flores hit a two-out double in the top of the inning, with the score tied at 3. However, Collins said he was distracted by setting up his relief pitching for the next inning and did not think about pinch running for Flores, who is one of the slower runners on the team.
