Mets C Travis d'Arnaud grew up idolizing Mike Piazza, who will be wearing a Mets hat when he's inducted in to the baseball Hall of Fame this Saturday.
"I pretty much just tried to do everything like him, and imitate him in every way possible," d'Arnaud told MLB.com's Anthony DiComo.
D'Arnaud has been able to work one-on-one during Spring Training with Piazza, who the Mets have invited to camp to be a special catching instructor.
"I felt like a little kid at the candy store," d'Arnaud told DiComo about getting advice from Piazza.
