Mets Win Final Game, 90th Victory

The Mets closed out the 2015 regular season with a victory over the Nationals, giving them a nice round number of 90 wins on the year.

Curtis Granderson homered to give Mets their only run in win Sunday.

The Mets followed that no-hitter by Max Scherzer Saturday by nearly no-hitting the Nats. They were hitless through 6.2 innings when Clint Robinson hit a hot shot up the middle off of Jonathon Niese that went off Ruben Tejada’s knee.

Jacob deGrom threw four innings in his post-season tune-up and Bartolo Colon and Logan Verrett each got an inning before giving way to Niese in the 7th.
