Mets waste solid Matt Harvey start as bullpen blows it in loss

ATLANTA — All right, so where is Chipper and Maddux and Smoltz and everybody else?

The suddenly resurgent Braves, they of the worst record in the National League, made it four straight victories over the Mets when Adonis Garcia greeted reliever Addison Reed with a two-run homer in the eighth inning for a 4-3 victory Thursday at Turner Field.

The Braves, who swept a three-game set from the Mets at Citi Field last weekend, won for the seventh time in eight games to deny Matt Harvey his fifth victory of the season. Instead, Reed fell to 1-2 and Jim Johnson went to 1-4 for the Braves.
