Mets VP Tommy Tanous reveling in son’s Little League World Series trip

The Mets will be represented in at least one World Series.

Tommy Tanous, the VP of international and amateur scouting who was key in the Mets’ drafting of Pete Alonso and Jeff McNeil, is currently in Williamsport, Pa., watching his 11-year-old son, Lucas, and Barrington Little League, represent Rhode Island in the Little League World Series.

“I am blessed to do something for last 23 years that I have loved to do. I’m blessed to work for a great organization in the Mets,” Tanous told Yahoo! Sports. “The only unfortunate thing is I have missed many great moments of my kids.
