Mets trade Jordan Humhreys to Giants for outfielder Billy Hamilton

The Mets have traded right-handed pitching prospect Jordan Humphreys to the Giants in exchange for outfielder Billy Hamilton. Humphreys was one of several players designated for assignment by the team during the first week of the 60-game 2020 season. In his case, he was DFA’d to make room for Ryan Cordell, who was activated to take the place of Jake Marisnick, who hit the injured list shortly after the season began with a left hamstring injury.

Humphreys did not make our list of the Mets’ top 25 prospects for 2020, but he did receive some votes in the 15th through 20th range for our tally.
