Mets top Braves, 6-2, in Grapefruit League opener

On the strength of a six-run eighth inning that featured a game-tying double by Zach Borenstein and three bases loaded walks, the Mets beat the Braves, 6-2, in their Grapefruit League opener on Friday afternoon at First Data Field in Port St. Lucie.

Three things you should know about today's game...

1) Zack Wheeler got the start and struck out two while working around a leadoff single in his only inning of work. Wheeler's fastball sat between 94 and 97 MPH. He threw 15 pitches -- 10 for strikes.

2) Adrian Gonzalez went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts, while Todd Frazier went 1-for-2 -- grounding a single to left field in his first at-bat.
