Mets too busy chasing playoffs to worry about Tim Tebow

ATLANTA — The Mets will not lose focus Tebowing.

That was the word from Terry Collins on Friday at Turner Field.

The Mets backed up the manager’s comments with a dramatic come-from-behind 6-4 victory over the Braves as they scored four times in the eighth inning, the go-ahead run coming around on Kelly Johnson’s pinch-hit double to right. The win was the Mets’ sixth straight.

There was no Curse of Tebow, in the Mets’ first game since signing Tim Tebow. In fact, it was pretty much a Mets couldn’t-care-less attitude toward Tebow in the clubhouse.
