Michael Conforto has had an up and down first five years of his career for the New York Mets but make no mistake he is still one of the best players in the National League. Since coming into the league in 2015 he ranks top 25 in WAR and OBP as well as top 15 in wRC+ and top 10 in BB%, for players with a minimum of 2000 PAs.
A below-average player does not put up these kinds of numbers. These numbers are of someone who can play the game of baseball at a high level and is just entering his prime.
