The Mets are awaiting the results of the second opinion Mets OF Michael Conforto had on his shoulder on Tuesday, and do not expect to have an update before Wednesday, the team said.
Conforto was first examined on Monday before opting to also receive a second opinion.
An MRI revealed Conforto suffered a dislocated left shoulder and tore his left posterior capsule on a swing in Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks.
The Mets have said all treatments, including season-ending surgery, are on the table. It is not known how long Conforto will need to recover from the injury.
