The Mets have continued their recent streak of making at least one roster move per day as the team continues to sputter, as the team has brought Richard Lovelady back on a one-year deal and designated Colin Poche for assignment. It’s the latest swap of left-handed relievers in a season that’s seen the Mets make a bunch of them after losing A.J. Minter and Danny Young to season-ending injuries early in the year.
Lovelady threw one-and-two-thirds innings for the Mets in his only appearance with the team in his first and only outing after they initially picked him up.
