Mets sign Bruce to three-year contract

The Mets announced Tuesday night they signed free agent Jay Bruce to a three-year deal, which is worth $39 million, a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand last week. The club didn't confirm how much the contract is worth.

With the Mets and Indians in 2017, Bruce batted .254/.324/.508 with a career-best 36 home runs and 101 RBIs through 146 games, helping Cleveland win 42 of 51 regular-season contests after his arrival.
