Mets say farewell to the final leftover from the 2017 Addison Reed trade

Addison Reed’s time with the New York Mets in from late 2015 through early 2017 was one of the most successful stints by a relief pitcher in the last five years. Although his 2015 postseason had its bad moments, he was quite spectacular in the regular season.

In 142 innings for New York, Reed went 6-5 with a 2.09 ERA. He gave them a 1.17 ERA performance down the stretch in 2015 and a full season at 1.97 in 2016.

Reed’s time in Queens ended in mid-2017 when the team went into fire-sale mode.
