Mets’ Robinson Cano is sad and ‘tired of sitting’

Robinson Cano spent two weeks as a spectator, even traveling cross-country with the Mets so he wouldn’t feel dissociated from the team.

Tuesday night he is hoping to be an active participant again, as Cano said he expects to be activated from the injured list to face the Giants at Citi Field.

“I am sad not being out there, because I love to play the game,” said Cano, who has been rehabbing from a left quadriceps strain. “It doesn’t matter for me how good or bad I am doing. In this game you have always got tomorrow.
