Not everything is going right for the Mets.
Lefty Jerry Blevins was expected to add much-needed bullpen depth when he was fully recovered from a broken arm, but instead was lost for the season after an unfortunate accident.
Blevins slipped while stepping off a curb on Monday night and re-broke the same bone in his left arm, the Mets announced Thursday. He will not return this season.
Blevins, who was acquired from the Nationals in the offseason, originally suffered an injury when he was hit by a line drive on April 19. His season will end with seven appearances and five scoreless innings.
