Mets reach agreement with Rick Porcello in another rotation boost

The Mets are adding another rotation option.

They’re in agreement with right-hander Rick Porcello on a one-year deal, The Post’s Mike Puma confirmed. MLB Network reports the contract is for $10 million. This comes a day after the Mets struck a one-year agreement with Michael Wacha.

Porcello, 30, won the AL Cy Young with the Red Sox in 2016 when he went 22-4 with a 3.15 ERA, but he has failed to recapture that form. Over the last three seasons with Boston, Porcello had a 4.79 ERA over 98 starts, pitching to a 5.
