While the wins keep piling up for the Mets, but the injury news does, too.
Rafael Montero, who pitched 5.2 innings in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Marlins, was headed to New York to have an MRI on his right shoulder, where he is experiencing tightness.
Montero, who was starting the game to give the Mets a six-man rotation and Matt Harvey an extra day of rest, was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas after the game.
Montero pitched out of the bullpen to start the season but was sent down to get stretched out so he could be a starter.
