Mets Player Performance Meter: Pitchers, June 9-15

The Mets’ pitching staff, which had been the roster’s strongest component all season long had probably its worst week all season. Well, really it was just the worst weekend. The Mets had been facing down an excellent problem to have: too many major league caliber pitchers to fit on one roster. But the situation went south at a rapid clip. Paul Blackburn was awful out of the bullpen. Both Tylor Megill and Griffin Canning pitched poorly. Kodai Senga is hurt. David Peterson’s complete game shutout was the lone bright spot in what was otherwise a pretty nightmarish week on the pitching side.
