Mets place Robert Gsellman on injured list with right triceps tendinitis

Having placed several players on the injured list over the last couple of days, the Mets added one more as they put Robert Gsellman on the injured list with right triceps tendinitis. The 27-year-old had already missed some time in summer camp with the injury, and now he’ll begin the 60-game season on the shelf.

With active rosters set to include up to 30 players for the first couple of weeks this season, Gsellman was easily going to be included in the team’s Opening Day bullpen if healthy. He wasn’t great last year, as he had a 4.
