The Mets are placing Devin Mesoraco on the disabled list and recalling Tomas Nido from Double-A, according to Mike Puma. Mesoraco exited yesterday’s game with neck stiffness.
In the 3-1 loss to the San Francisco Giants, Mesoraco let a passed ball go through to the back stop, which allowed Steven Duggar to score from third base. Mesoraco, who argued that the ball was foul tipped by Evan Longoria, left the game shortly after that play and was sent for an MRI.
