Mets place d'Arnaud on disabled list

The Mets placed catcher Travis d'Arnaud on the 10-day disabled list and recalled catcher Tomás Nido from Double-A Birmingham on Wednesday.

D'Arnaud underwent an MRI and clinical exam at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. He has been diagnosed with a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. Treatment of this injury, including possible surgery, will be determined in the next several days.
