Mets pitching prospect Matt Allan to undergo Tommy John surgery

The Mets announced that Matt Allan will undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery to repair a partial tear of his ulnar collateral ligament. The team revealed that they discovered the tear in an MRI done earlier this week.
