Mets pick up Jose Reyes' option for 2017 season

The Mets have picked up Jose Reyes' option for the 2017 season, reports Jon Heyman of FanRag.

Reyes will earn the Major League minimum this coming season.

The Mets signed him to a minor league deal on June 26, shortly after he was released by the Rockies upon completing a 52-game suspension stemming from a domestic violence incident with his wife.

Reyes, 33, hit .276 with a .326 OBP and .443 SLG with eight HR, 13 doubles, and four triples in 60 games (279 plate appearances) for the Mets this past season.
