Mets, Phillies split doubleheader

In Game 1, Wilmer Flores was the walk-off hero, saving us from an even longer day of Met baseball with a home run in the bottom of the tenth to top the Phillies 4-3. Starting pitchers Zack Wheeler and Zach Eflin didn’t make it into the sixth, and both allowed three runs. Both bullpens were untouched until Flores’s walk-off bomb.

Zack Wheeler was definitely unlucky early in the game. Cesar Hernandez led off the game with a bloop single into left field.
