Mets Morning News: Six in a row

The Mets collected their sixth win a row, taking the series from the Phillies after two games and positioning themselves for a possible sweep today. Canning frequently got himself into and out of trouble, going five innings with seven hits and a walk, but only one run and five strikeouts. Brazobán, Minter, Stanek, and Buttó each threw an inning, and other than Brazoban giving up a hit and Stanek giving up two walks, no more runs scored. Lindor’s hot streak has continued, going 3-5 with an RBI, with Torrens plating two and Vientos and red-hot Pete Alonso each also driving in a run apiece.
