Justice was handed down today against the Atlanta Braves and their former GM John Coppolella for violating rules on signing international free agents. 12 of the clubs international signees have been made free agents, are are eligible to sign with any other team. Atlanta will have their international signing pool significantly reduced through 2021, and will lose their 2018 third round draft pick.
John Coppolella received a lifetime ban from Major League Baseball, joining a list that includes Pete Rose, Chris Correa, and former Met Jennry Mejia.
