Mets Morning News: Mets split series with Orioles, Pete Alonso finds the balls suspicious

The Mets met old friend Matt Harvey in Baltimore and treated him rudely yet again. He surrendered seven runs in three innings with the big blows coming off the bats of Pete Alonso and Kevin Pillar. Even after Harvey exited the hits kept coming. Pillar went deep yet again, so did Billy McKinney twice, and Mason Williams once. Taijuan Walker was incredible on the mound and had arguably his best start as a Met and the Amazins easily walked away with a series spilt with Baltimore.

With the spotlight on the substance scandal, there will now always be rumors around Jacob deGrom which diminishes his otherworldly talent.
