Mets Morning News: Mets split doubleheader against Brewers, Francisco Lindor is an All-Star

After getting rained out the night before, the Mets doubleheader against the Brewers got off to a rough start. They had the lead when starter Clay Holmes exited but once the bullpen entered the game quickly got out of hand and a close game turned into a blowout.

In the nightcap the team had a tough task facing Milwaukee phenom Jacob Misiorowski, but after a couple of walks and a favorable bounce loaded the bases, Brandon Nimmo launched a ball into the stands to give the team a 4-0 lead. Francisco Lindor went back-to-back with Nimmo to supply Blade Tidwell with a five-run cushion.
