The Mets staged a late game comeback to win 7-6 in extra innings over the Orioles. Clay Holmes went five innings, giving up five runs on seven hits with five strikeouts and a walk. With the exception of Alex Carrillo giving up one last run, the Mets bullpen held the game together enough for the Mets to be able to mount their largest comeback of the season. Timely two-run home runs from Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso in the eighth tied the game at six apiece, and a tenth inning RBI single from Juan Soto put the Mets ahead permanently.
