One bad inning from Michael Wacha doomed the Mets last night, as the offense continued to flounder in key situations, resulting in a 4-3 loss to the 7-1 Marlins.
The Mets did get some welcome news prior to the game, as Robert Gsellman was activated from the injured list. Daniel Zamora was optioned to the team’s Alternate Site in a corresponding move.
Dominic Smith got the Mets one of their runs with an impressive homer, but he also failed in a big spot later in the game.
