Like an old joke that long ago ceased to be funny, Jacob deGrom took the mound for the Mets, pitched a fantastic game, and lost thanks to the anemic Mets offense. This time it was the Braves who victimized deGrom, beating the Mets 2-1 in a game that deGrom collect one of only two hits for the Amazins.
