Carlos Beltran’s first coaching staff as Mets manager is nearing completion, with another familiar face to the organization likely to return.

An industry source indicated Thursday that Luis Rojas is expected back as the quality control coach, as both sides have shown interest in a reunion. The 38-year-old Rojas is well-respected in the organization, and interviewed for the manager’s job after Mickey Callaway was fired. Rojas served as the outfield coach, in addition to his duties as a liaison between the front office and coaching staff in implementing analytics.

Rojas would join hitting coach Chili Davis as a returning member of the staff, along with Gary DiSarcina, who is expected back as a base coach and infield instructor.
