Mets LHP Steven Matz has a slight strain of his left middle finger and is day-to-day, manager Mickey Callaway said prior to Wednesday night's game in Atlanta.
Callaway said it is not yet clear whether Matz will make his next start.
Matz left Tuesday night's game against the Braves after the bottom of the third inning with discomfort in the finger.
X-Rays came back negative for Matz, who had limited the Braves to just one hit in three innings before he was forced out of the game.
The only hit Matz allowed came in the third inning when Ozzie Albies singled.
