Mets LHP Steven Matz allows three runs in no-decision

Mets LHP Steven Matz allowed three runs in six innings against the Yankees on Saturday night.

All three of the runs allowed by Matz came via home run: Gleyber Torres took Matz deep in the third inning and Miguel Andujar added a two-run homer in the sixth inning after Gary Sanchez walked.

"Really bad pitch there in the sixth inning, and it cost us the game essentially," Matz said of Andujar's home run. That pitch is going to sit with me the rest of the night," Matz said.

The costly walk to Sanchez was one of four total walks for Matz, who had not walked that many batters since May 11.
