Mets’ Jacob deGrom needs to exorcise his demons at Wrigley Field

Jacob deGrom has been the Mets’ best pitcher over the past two seasons, sporting a career 2.61 ERA and 1.05 WHIP. Those numbers alone prove that he has no trouble facing some of the best players in the majors today.

But there is one stadium that continues to haunt deGrom and his ravishing locks, and unfortunately it’s the place he’ll be starting Game 3 of the National League Championship Series: Wrigley Field.

deGrom has pitched at Wrigley Field twice (once in 2014 and another this season), and his numbers are discouraging. In those two starts, he’s 0-1 with a 7.
