The Mets were two outs away from a win and a 1-0 lead in the World Series on Tuesday night in Kansas City. They lost the lead, lost the game, lost the next night, and now the narrative seems to be that the Royals are simply too good to be beaten. A juggernaut, to borrow the word of some.
This is not to say that the Royals haven’t been very good during the first two games of the World Series. They have. This is not to say that the Mets have executed well on both sides of the ball during the first two games of the World Series.
