After a wild couple of weeks, the New York Mets announced last week that former All-Star outfielder Carlos Beltran will be taking over as manager for the club. With that settled, the team now needs to plug up some of the holes on the roster in for him to have a successful tenure.
Of all the areas the Mets need improvement for 2020, the club’s bullpen is chief among them.
For the 2019 season, the Mets had the 25th ranked bullpen in the Major Leagues, posting an overall 4.95 ERA, with 27 blown saves on the year, tied for 9th most in the league.
