Four more cheers?
The stretch run of Jacob deGrom’s National League Cy Young award candidacy — now likely consisting of four final starts in 2018 — remains a focal point of the Mets season, with the ace right-hander scheduled to face the Marlins on Tuesday at Citi Field.
DeGrom, whose latest start was postponed Sunday and Monday, because of rainy weather and a rainout, respectively, would appear in control as he attempts to join Tom Seaver, Dwight Gooden and R.A. Dickey among Mets pitchers to win the award.
DeGrom will take a major league-leading 1.68 ERA into action.
