The New York Mets designated right-handed reliever Jorge López for assignment following Wednesday’s 10-3 loss against the Dodgers at Citi Field.

López gave up two runs on two hits and only recorded one out during his appearance on Wednesday. He was ejected from the game after throwing his glove into the stands, and his displeasure continued into the clubhouse.

After the game, López said he did not regret his actions and appeared to call the Mets the “worst team in the whole f—— MLB,” doubling down when asked to clarify his statement.
