NEW YORK -- The New York Mets demoted infielder Eric Campbell to Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday afternoon to create room for the activation of recently-acquired first baseman James Loney. The Mets also designated for assignment minor league reliever Jeff Walters to clear the 40-man roster spot for Loney.
