The Syracuse Mets blew out the Durham Bulls on Thursday evening, scoring 17 runs on 23 hits in the game in their shutout victory. Syracuse got on the board in the top of the first, scoring four runs on an RBI single from Dilson Herrera and a three-run homer from Rene Rivera. They scored three more runs in the top of the third on solo homers from Gregor Blanco and Arismendy Alcantara. Syracuse broke the game open in the top of the fourth, when Rene Rivera led off the inning with his second homer of the game.
