ROCHESTER 7, SYRACUSE 1 / 7 (BOX)
Vance Worley was solid early on, recording ten straight outs to begin the contest, but Nationals catching prospect Keibert Ruiz broke the streak with a solo homer to make it 1-0 Rochester. Worley seemed shook, as he allowed another homer in the fourth, a hard hit double, and then two more runs in the fifth on another two hard hit balls. Down 4-0, the game wasn’t completely out of reach for Syracuse, but Yennsy Diaz took care of that in the seventh, giving up three more runs and making it a 7-0 ballgame.
