Columbia blew a save and lost in heartbreaking fashion, falling 3-2 in extras. Daison Acosta battled around a ton of baserunners, keeping Charleston off the board despite giving up six hits and three walks in 5.1 innings. He left with a lead thanks to a sacrifice fly from Guillermo Granadillo. Cole Gordon preserved that lead with five strikeouts over 2.1 innings before Allan Winans came on for the save in the ninth. Unfortunately, a double, sacrifice fly, and a wild pitch tied the game at one.
