It was just your average, run-of-the-mill 11-run eighth inning in Vegas last night, as the 51s turned a tight game into an blowout late in Game 1. The Aces actually led this one 2-1 going into the bottom of the seventh when, with two outs and two on, a pinch-hitting Kevin Kaczmarski ripped an RBI single to tie the game, and Ty Kelly followed with an RBI single to put Vegas ahead. The insurance runs arrived fast and furious in the bottom of the eighth, as both Bryce Brentz and Patrick Kivlehan doubled and homered in the 11-run inning—Brentz’s a grand slam, giving him a six-RBI inning.
