In the battle of Upstate New York (being played in New Jersey, of course), Syracuse and Buffalo both plated a run apiece in the second and put up a three spot in the fourth, but it was Syracuse’s unanswered runs in the seventh that made the difference in the game. With a man on second, David Thompson gave a Dany Jimenez offering a ride, depositing the pitch over the left field wall.
