Ervin Santana logged another solid start for Syracuse, but he was outpitched by Bryse Wilson and the Stripers bullpen, who combined to throw a shutout. Santana’s lone blemish came in the sixth, when Andres Blanco hit a solo home run. Ryley Gilliam had a hiccup in the eighth, allowing a second run, but ultimately it wouldn’t really matter as, Syracuse wouldn’t be able to win without scoring a run, one run or two.
