COLORADO SPRINGS 6, LAS VEGAS 2 (Box)
Vegas kicked off a series their Colorado Springs with a loss, dropping their sixth game in the last seven. The Sky Sox jumped out to an early 2-0 lead off of a Jeff Bandy two-run home run, then got to Cody Martin for another home run in the bottom of the fifth to extend their lead to 3-0. Vegas staged a two-out rally in the bottom of the top of the sixth with four straight singles to cut the deficit to one, but the Sox answered right back with three off of Kevin McGowan in the bottom of the frame, and Vegas went quietly the rest of the way.
